On the occasion of Hand Surgery Team’s mission from Sydney St. Lukes’s and Royal NorthShore’s Hand Units, Australia on 24 -28 of November, 2008 at Hue Central Hospital (HCH), Department of Orthopaedic, Plastic & Burn collaborated with the Australian team to celebrate the 5^th Australian – Vietnamese course on hand surgery for 2 days of 27-28 November, 2008, with the topics of concentration further on hand and wrist trauma and reconstruction.

His Excellency, Mr. Johannes Peterlik, Ph.D, Ambassador Extraodinary and Plenipotentiary of Austrian Republic in Vietnam had a visit and a meeting at Hue Central Hospital about the project for “provision of medical equipment and facilities for Hue Central Hospital to enhance capacities in examination and treatment of cancer patients”  on November 19, 2008.

Medical Team of Les Lampions Association – France including 4 doctors led by Dr. JOUANNEAU  DOAN, specilising in neonatal sector, visited and worked with Departments of Gynecology and Obstetrics and Pediatrics – Hue Central Hospital on 4 – 12 November, 08.

In the morning of November 18, 2008, Hue Central Hospital collaborated with National Healthcare Group to hold the seminar on “Updates on the diagnosis and treatment of Ovarian Cancer”. This is a common disease in women.

On 20 - 27 September 2008, eye clinic for poor patients was be held at Eye Department - Hue Central Hospital with SEE's (Surgical Eye Expedition, USA) support. In this clinic, Dr. Anne Sumers in cooperation with doctors from Eye Department - Hue Central Hospital had examined and operated 108 cataractcases.

During  2 days, from 12 to 13. november 2008, Prof Gannan director of Gastroenterology Overlakes Hospital in Washington DC and his group together Hue Central Hospital will organise ERCP international workshop for endoscopy. Participants will be doctors from vienamese centers.
